Tamara und ihr Mann Sergio kamen aus Spanien nach Deutschland in der Hoffnung hier Arbeit zu finden. Ihre dreimonatige Tochter mussten sie bei Tamaras Mutter zurücklassen. Sie wollten sie später nachholen. Zunächst fanden sie Arbeit in der Gastronomie und als Reinigungskräfte. Sie mieteten für 650 € ein Zimmer in Berlin-Marzahn. Nachdem sie ihre Arbeit verloren, wurden sie obdachlos. Über den Winter fanden sie getrennt in verschiedenen Notunterkünften der Kältehilfe Schutz. Eine Unterkunft für sie als Paar gab es nicht. Im Mai 2024 gingen sie - mit ihrem zerbrochenen Traum im Gepäck - zurück zu ihrer Tochter und den Großeltern nach Spanien.

Tamara and her husband Sergio came to Germany from Spain in the hope of finding work here. They had to leave their three-month-old daughter behind with Tamara's mother. They wanted to bring her to Germany later. They initially found work in the gastronomy sector and as cleaners. They rented a room in Berlin-Marzahn for €650. After they lost their jobs, they became homeless. Over the winter, they found refuge separately in various emergency shelters run by the Berliner Kältehilfe. There was no accommodation for them as a couple. In May 2024, they returned to their daughter and grandparents in Spain with their shattered dreams in their luggage.
